Thomas Padian is an associate at Watt Tieder in Irvine, California. He concentrates his practice on construction litigation and suretyship law. Thomas represents project owners, homebuilders, contractors, and subcontractors in a variety of matters, including breach of contract, differing site conditions, delay, and bond claims as well as foreclosure of mechanic’s liens. He has gained valuable experience successfully arguing a wide array of substantive and procedural motions, preparing appeals to various California Courts of Appeal, and resolving complex discovery disputes.

In addition to his litigation practice, Thomas regularly negotiates and drafts construction contracts for Watt Tieder’s contractor clients. Recently, he assisted a large homebuilder by providing comprehensive counsel relating to real property transfer taxes in over thirty states, which enabled the client’s successful spin-off of a new business entity.
