Greg Wagner is an associate with Watt Tieder in McLean, Virginia. Greg concentrates his practice on construction litigation, government contracts, and suretyship law. He has experience representing contractors and sureties in complex matters involving breach of contract, differing site conditions, changes, defective specifications, project delay, and payment and performance bond claims. In addition to his significant litigation experience, Greg has also assisted construction and surety clients in negotiating various types of agreements, including settlements as well as surety takeover and tender agreements on both public and private projects. Greg’s practice spans a wide range of projects, from marine construction and civil infrastructure to the construction of military facilities. Through his practice, Greg has gained valuable experience in handling complex discovery matters as well as preparing dispositive and procedural motions.

Greg graduated with honors from the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University, where he served as an editor on the George Mason Law Review. While in law school, he also completed an internship in the Office of Counsel for the Commandant, United States Marine Corps, and was a member of the Moot Court Board. Before entering law school, Greg worked for defense contractor Newport News Shipbuilding, where he was responsible for material coordination and control on the U.S. Navy’s Virginia Class Submarine program. He joined Watt Tieder after clerking for the firm as a summer associate.
