Maxwell Lemen is an associate at Watt Tieder’s McLean, Virginia office. He focuses his practice in the areas of construction litigation, government contracting, and suretyship law. Maxwell has experience representing contractors, subcontractors, and sureties in litigation involving breach of contract, defective specifications, changes clause, and delay claims. He has assisted clients in disputes arising from projects spanning the construction field, including military installations, municipal government facilities, and housing developments. Through these matters, Maxwell has gained extensive experience in dispute resolution and motions practice before various state and federal courts as well as the Civilian Board of Contract Appeals. He joined Watt Tieder as an associate after having clerked for the firm as a summer associate.

Maxwell graduated with honors from The George Washington University Law School, where he was a managing editor for the Federal Communications Law Journal as well as a member of both the Mock Trial Board and Alternative Dispute Resolution Board. Prior to law school, Maxwell graduated cum laude from Miami University with degrees in Political Science and International Studies.
