50-State Guide on Electronic Execution of General Agreements of Indemnity

Watt Tieder is pleased to have contributed to the newly published 50-State Guide on Electronic Execution of General Agreements of Indemnity, prepared for the American Bar Association Fidelity and Surety Law Committee and The Surety & Fidelity Association of America (SFAA).

The guide provides a state-by-state analysis of how electronic execution can affect surety rights under power-of-attorney provisions in general agreements of indemnity, covering all 50 states and Puerto Rico.

Watt Tieder attorneys authored 12 chapters of the guide, which examines key issues involving application of the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act, the Uniform Power of Attorney Act, and Remote Online Notarization laws.

We are proud to be part of this collaborative effort involving nearly 100 surety attorneys, providing a practical resource for surety professionals navigating the evolving legal landscape governing the electronic execution of agreements.
